SQL Server 2008 problem in Germantown, Maryland

Hi,
We have our data (mostly HR data in the HROffice system by Ascentis) in a SQL Server 2008 database. We are having difficulties backing up the system, transferring it, and getting it back on-line. Do you have a technician or someone who can come to our office in Germantown, Maryland to help us out? I think it would take just a few hours. Thanks,

Web Development for association in Washington DC

We are an association located in Washington DC. We would like to list the database of our members on our web site. What kind of database and system would you use to do this? We were thinking of using Microsoft Access or SQL Server. And can you recommend any good company in the Maryland or Washington DC area that does web development? Thanks,

Site Visits for SQL Server work in Maryland

Hello,
We have a database in Microsoft SQL Server (version 2008). We are having some performance issues- When you do computer consulting, do you typically work on the systems in your clients’ offices, or do you take them with you to your office? We are located in Rockville, Maryland (just outside of Washington DC). Thanks,

SQL Server question from Washington DC

Hello,
I see that your company is in Gaithersburg, Maryland. We are in Washington DC and would appreciate your thoughts on a SQL Server issue.
We have one of our company databases in SQL Server 2005. Recently we bought a new server and are transferring the database to the new server. We backed up the database to a file and tried to restore it on the new server. But the new server seems to require that the database files be in the same exact location as they were on the old server? Is there a way to get around this? Do you make house calls?? :-)

Rockville guy here with a SQL Server question

Hi,
I am an IT guy in Rockville, Maryland and have a custom programming question that has to do with database management. I am trying to integrate a Microsoft Access database with a SQL Server 2008 64 bit database. The SQL Server system doesn’t seem to connect to Access. Do you have any ideas about what could be the problem?
